I've always adored Kauai and it has always felt like the home of my heart. My last trip was 3 years ago, to Princeville--------- ahhhhhhhhhhhh. This quilt predates that trip and was made when I was living in Honolulu. I'm not sure I like the wavy, watery border much anymore but I haven't lived with it long enough. The quilt face itself is embellished with all sorts of stitches, beads, and ribbons, lots of texture.
It does need a good pressing, but I thought I would share it with you.
What cool objects are hiding in your house?????

i love shopping in the basement. just about to go on a spree to get all of my spring clothes up!
DUST BUNNIES are the only thing hiding here!!
Hey!!!! I recognize that place!! Too cool! And I like the wavy border--I think it's a great touch!
Who knows what dwells in my basement. I've lived in the house for 34 years, have seen an ex and 2 kids leave and my mom arrive, plus for a short while my son, DIL and 3 kids lived with me. The kids slept in the old playroom which had become my craft room--craft room materials moved to basement. That was 1 1/2 years ago and the majority crafting is still there--oh well. The knitting supplies are in the ex's old closet so why worry.
I'm so jealous this is the sort of thing you dig out of the basement! I find jars of paint and hardened grout that the prior owners left behind.
So sorry to hear about the flooding. My basement occasionally floods, and it is a nightmare! Glad you found and rescued something cool. I like it!
